ADV2B Questionnaire Recertification

The ADV2B recertification workflow is designed for firms that have already completed an initial ADV2B questionnaire rollout — often occurring after their initial program year — and want users to periodically review and confirm their information is still current, or make updates if anything has changed, without having users complete their ADV2B questionnaire all over again from scratch.

This article explains how that workflow functions in the Renaissance platform and what to expect when reviewing, updating, and recertifying your ADV2B questionnaire to ensure a current, approved ADV2B PDF brochure is available for download. 


ADV2B Recertification Directions for Users:

  1. Login to your Quest CE user profile.
  2. UnderQuestionnaire within the top menu bar, locate your ADV2B record — it will be highlighted in red with a status of Approved – Recertify Request.
  3. Click View Results to open your previously approved questionnaire.
  4. Before just clicking Recertify, carefully review each section of your questionnaire to consider any changes or updates that need to be made.
    • If anything has changed, click Update or Edit Response to make corrections before resubmitting.
  5. Once your review is complete (with or without changes), click Recertify to finish.

What happens after you recertify your ADV2B Questionnaire?

  • If no changes were made — Status remains Approved.
    • The Generate Brochure button remains available to export your approved ADV2B details as a PDF brochure.
  • If changes were made — Status moves to Modified / Waiting for Approval and is routed to Compliance for review and re-approval.
    • Compliance is notified of any submissions and/or modifications.
    • All changes and approvals are logged.
    • The Generate Brochure option will not appear again until your ADV2B questionnaire returns to an Approved status.
