Minnesota State Requirements

Applies to Minnesota Resident Producers

Required Continuing Education Credits:

Producers are required to take 24 credits of insurance CE, including 3 credits of ethics, every 2-year license term.

The state of Minnesota requires no more than 15 credits may be company-sponsored. Quest CE’s online courses are not company-sponsored and therefore may be used to complete all CE training.

Minnesota DOI states that a producer may not earn more than 8 CE credits per 24 hours.

Minnesota DOI requires mandatory timed content. A countdown timer tracks active engagement within the course and will not be marked complete until the timer has run its full duration. Progress will be saved.

The state of Minnesota (MN) allows 10 days, including exam completion date, for reporting CE credits. Producers are required to provide accurate license number and completed affidavit’s for Quest CE to report within deadline.

No Exam Monitor Required.

License Renewal Deadline: Renewal is the last date of producer's birth month biennially.

Course Credit Carryover: Not allowed
