New York State Requirements
Applies to New York Resident Producers
Producers are required to take 15 credits of insurance CE, every 2-year license term.
The state of New York requires all individuals to complete continuing education on the following topics:
- at least 1 hour of Insurance Law instruction,
- at least 1 hour of ethics and professionalism instruction, and
- at least 1 hour of diversity, inclusion, and elimination of bias instruction.

Please note that New York does not ever allow the repeat of a course.
The state of New York (NY) allows 30 days, including exam completion date, for reporting CE credits. Producers are required to provide accurate license number for Quest CE to report within deadline.
No Exam Monitor Required.
License Renewal Deadline:
The license term for Producers is every 2 years, based on the licensee's date of birth in odd- or even-numbered years. Licensees born in an even-numbered year are required to complete their CE in even-numbered years. Licensees born in an odd-numbered year are required to complete their CE in odd-numbered years.
