South Carolina State Requirements

Producers are required to take 24 credits of insurance CE, including 3 credits of ethics, every 2-year license term.

South Carolina DOI requires producers who are dually licensed must complete a minimum of 8 credits in each line of authority.

The state of South Carolina (SC) allows 30 days, including exam completion date, for reporting CE credits. Producers are required to provide accurate license number and completed affidavit’s for Quest CE to report within deadline.

Exam Monitor Required: Disinterested Third Party

Roster Fee: $1.50/credit

License Renewal Deadline: The license term is every 2 years based on the last day of the licensee's birth month. (Producers born in an even numbered year will renew every even numbered year. Producers born in an odd numbered year will renew every odd number year).

Course Credit Carryover: Allowed - up to 18 hours. Excess Ethics credits carryover as general credits.
