South Dakota State Requirements

Producers are required to take 10 credits of insurance CE, every 2-year license term.

South Dakota DOI requires producers who are dually licensed to take 20 credits of insurance CE with a minimum of 10 credits in each line of authority.

The state of South Dakota (SD) allows 14 days, including exam completion date, for reporting CE credits. Producers are required to provide accurate license number for Quest CE to report within deadline.

No Monitor Required. The state of South Dakota allows open-book exams.

Roster Fee: $1.50/credit

License Renewal Deadline: License renewal is due on the last day of the licensee's birth month every 2 years. In order for a resident producer to renew their license for the next two year period, they must have completed their CE hours during the previous two year period and submit a renewal application (available 60 days prior to the end of their birth month).

Course Credit Carryover: Not allowed
