Training Statuses
How to Differentiate Training Statuses
Every training course assigned to a user's profile begins at a Not Started status and moves through a series of statuses as the user progresses.
The goal is to reach the final status: Complete
Training Status Definitions
Not Started: The course has been assigned to the user's profile, but no action has been taken. The user has not yet opened or interacted with the training course.
In Progress: The user has opened the course and is actively working through the content pages. The training content has been started but is not yet finished.
Content Complete: The user has finished all course content pages but has not yet attempted the exam or attestation that follows. This is an intermediate status — the training is not complete until the exam portion is also passed.
Complete: The training course is fully finished. The user has completed the course content and passed the exam or attestation with a score of 70% or higher. A certificate of completion becomes available once this status is reached.
Incomplete: The user has attempted the exam but did not achieve a passing score (below 70%). The user can select Retake to attempt the exam again. Each retake presents questions and answer choices in a randomized order.
A few things worth noting:
-
A certificate of completion is only generated at the Complete status — Content Complete alone is not sufficient.
-
For training that has reached the Incomplete status, there is no limit specified on retake attempts for most training categories, and each exam retake will display the questions and answer options in a fresh, randomized order.
